Did you have a treehouse as a kid?Play Cowboys and Indians?Catch Lightning bugs? What else?

I was blessed enough to have 5 sisters and a brother,we always played cowboys and Indians,Of course no one wanted to be the cowboy! Our neighbor had an awesome tree fort but he didn't let girls in[we snuck in]Our favorite is we had big fridge boxes and made us little play houses!!

1I was either really brave or really stupid as a kid. My cousin and I used to have Roman candle wars using haybales as barriers.
No one got hurt, thank god, that was stupid now that I think about it as an adult. We also used to make a bow and arrows out of twigs and shoot them into the air and say "heads up". I am really lucky to have survived my childhood. Another one that is not as dangerous just stupid, we were hiking in the woods and found a big drainage pipe in front of which there was alot of mud. we preceeded to have an all out mud war. when we walked home, we were covered head to toe in mud. at least now I hope it was mud.

Sure we played cowboys and Indians. or good guys and bad guys. My sister and I were 2 yrs apart and spent many hours outdoors shooting our capguns and catching lightening bugs. Never had a treehouse played in the neighbor's old storage shed attached to the outhouse! We fixed it all up and then the neighbor boys tore it up! Can still remember finding the baby kitties down the outhouse hole. We also found a big hole in a new housing development and traveled for blocks through it. Our friend lived next door to a Firestone tire store and spent hours climbing through the tires and hopping from one tractor to another going home absolutely black from the rubber. Kids sure have it bad now don't they?
